Thanksgiving

This is Little Turkey Lurky on her first Thanksgiving! She slept through most of the day, while I ate way too much! Oh well I have an excuse right now, just nourishing myself so I can nurse. Ha,ha! Thanksgiving turns out to be a great time to have a child, because you come home from the hospital starved and you have so much food brought to you for Turkey day!

We stayed at the house considering I just got home from the hospital yesterday evening. Mimi brought out all the food, and Cabe fried our turkey. I am usually designated to make the deviled eggs, but this year I didn't cook anything, so a sweet family friend Pam made us 3 dozen deviled eggs! Yeah I'm gonna be sick off those! They are my favorite as well as the kids.

This year I got Kensley interested in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. I watch it every year while cooking and getting ready to go the family's houses. This year we have been reading the book about how the parade got started so she was very interested to see what it was all about. She just loved the big balloons like Dora and Snoopy! She also loved watching all the dance skits be performed. I'm glad I've got a new little buddy to watch it with me each year.

After our lunch had settled we had some pie!! Yumm-O! Klayton's new favorite thing this thanksgiving has been pumpkin pie. He had it at Kensley's school lunch and kept going back for more. He was too cute siting on the fireplace eating pie and watching Miracle on 34th Street.

Hope everyone had a very blessed Thanksgiving! I know this year I have even more to be thankful for. My precious new baby is so healthy and the most beautiful little thing ever!

LLA Thanksgiving Lunch

I had to share some of the cute pics I got today at Kensley's Thanksgiving lunch at pre-school. Klay was so interested in the other boys at school, but he was a good sport and got some pictures of Kensley. Do you notice how he isn't looking at the camera in any of them? Ha!
We feasted on turkey and pie and got the fellowship with the staff and other parents at school. Kensley was so shy around this little boy in her class Wade. He is just precious!! He is always right there beside Kensley and wants hug her and play. She gets so embarrassed by it. Poor little guy was just talking to us asking what Kensley was doing for Thanksgiving and if she was going to be here in town. I thought it was too precious, but Kensley is to shy to open up and talk to him.
After the lunch the kids were free to go home. This was the last day Kensley will be at school for a while because of the holidays and the baby. She was really excited to be off for Thanksgiving and she is even more excited to know that means it is getting close to the time for Kennedy to be born.

I wish I would have remembered to get a picture of Kensley's turkey centerpieces they made in class. They were cute brown paper bag turkeys the kids had made to decorate the foyer of the church. She also made an Indian bead necklace that she has proudly worn around all afternoon telling me about the Indians.

Soon will be baby...

We went for my last doctors appointment today! Dr. Lawrence decided she wants to induce Tuesday morning. I just knew I would have Kennedy on my due date of December 1st. I thought if I didn't go into labor then the doctor would induce on that day. She thinks though that Kennedy is healthy enough now and it will be better on me if we just go ahead and induce. She has had to induce with both Kensley and Klayton and I was really hoping this time my water would break and all that neat stuff. It would be a whole new experience for Cabe and I, but I just don't think my body would ever do it. My babies like to stay nice and cozy in mommy's belly.

I am glad though to know that I have this weekend to finish up my last minute preparations and make sure I have everything for Kennedy. I will try to relax and keep my feet up. I just keep thinking of things to do now that I'm afraid I won't have time for after, and I just want to be ready for her and the holidays.

I am a little worried tonight though because today in the appointment Dr. Lawrence heard the baby's heart skipping beats which she hasn't heard before. She doesn't think it is much since she hasn't heard it before now, but she will monitor me closely during labor to make sure the baby isn't in distress. I am so overly worried and concerned. I have already researched the condition which she said this is, I am just praying for the best and that Kennedy is born healthy. Please keep us in your prayers and pray for her little heart to be good.

Soon I will able to share sweeties pictures! I can't wait to meet her!! I'm so excited to see how much hair she has

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Tonight we took the kids to see How the Grinch Stole Christmas at the Silver Moon Cinema. Kenlsey and Klay absolutely love going to these!! It is a local outdoor movie theater that is seasonal. They have family movies that have been voted on that they play from April through November. They choose one a month, and when I saw the last one of the year was going to be The Grinch, I knew we must go. It was so cold though!! This has been the coldest night we have had so far, but we bundle up in coats and sleeping bags and had a great time. This has been Kensley's favorite movie since she was three. The kids thought it was so neat to have hot chocolate and get in their sleeping bags.

After the movie was over we went to Target to look for some Christmas goodies. We came home with tons of boxes of hot chocolate and seasonal snack mixes, also some cookies. We then sat in front of the fireplace munching on cookies and watched The Santa Clause.

Carnival games, Ponies, Cake, and more..

Today we celebrated both of the kids birthday with a carnival party! Kensley had seen a themed party like this on Jon and Kate Plus 8 and that what she has been asking months for. The kids have been so excited to know they had ponies coming to their party. I have said before but I like to really celebrate their birthdays because it is such a big day for them, and us too as parents. Last year we went to Disney World during their birthdays so they didn't have a party. Even though Disney was the best trip ever, I missed not giving them a party. Ever since Kensley's first birthday party, the girl has gotten super excited when it gets time to plan her day. She just likes having all her friends to play with! Klayton just loves the idea of birthdays and getting to blow out the candles. Last year I think we re-lite the candles atleast ten times for him. I have planned for a while exactly what we were going to do at the party, and I have to say it turned out great! Every loved the pony rides, and they loved having the games to win prizes.

My little stud posing with his 3 shirt! He thought it was super cool that I put Klaybo on the back for him. He would show off and hold up his fingers and say I'm three now.

Ninny came early to help setup the cakes she made! She has to be one of the most talented people I know. She makes the kids cakes each birthday, and I couldn't be more happy with them. My cakes are a sad sit not fit to pull out in public! After so many people asking her to make cakes for wedding and such, she has finally decided to have a website and do cakes on the side. I can't wait to post her website when it is all done. Everything Ninny does is cool, so I know it will just be over the top.

The backyard had different carnival booths setup that we made. Each child would play the games to win prizes for their goodie bags. We played coke toss, Go Fish, and face painting.

The boys all decided they wanted football tattoos.

Kensley and Scarlett had so much fun running around and playing. Kensley loves when she gets to see her and then the whole next week she walks around the house talking about her best friend Scarlett.

Klaybo on Chester the pony!

I had to share a picture of the line waiting to ride the ponies. Once the ponies arrived the kids stayed their no stop waiting their turn! I'm glad it turned out to be such a big hit.

The awesome My Little Pony and Curious George cakes my sister made for the kiddos! Isn't she so talented?

Sarah could not wait for Lily to ride the pony. She was already planning to buy her a horse if she took well to it.Ha, ha! It was precious to see Lily on the pony with her little Cowgirl hat!

I truly think this is the only picture I've gotten of myself pregnant.

The kids had the best time and are now sound asleep! We are all worn out and now I can finally relax since the party is over with. I plan on relaxing these next two weeks and taking it as easy as possible. I'm just glad little one didn't decide to make her apperance today! I'd like to keep her in their and spread her birthday out a little further than Kensley and Klay's! Ha!

Daddy's hunting buddy, plus Ella Grace

This morning Kensley and Cabe when on their first deer hunt together of the season. I have protested this forever, but when they team up I'm usually the one who loses the battle. She loves to go down to deer camp with him before season and ride on the four-wheeler and set up camp. Since she has been back this year, she has begged me ever since to let her go. I finally caved in to both her and Cabe, and let her go.

As you can see in the picture though, she has her new babydoll Ella Grace with her. She was really excited to go until Cabe woke her up, and the bear in her came out. She cried for Ella to go or she was not going. Since Daddy was so pumped about his little hunting buddy going, I didn't want to disappoint him, so we just let Ella tag along.

I wish I would of had a camera with them in the woods. She strapped Ella into her baby backpack carrier and headed out with daddy. This year she came back with a good report that she had stopped a big deer. Last year when she went to camp she made herself nice and cozy by the heater, and proclaimed to me that she "gets good sleep deer huntin!"

Klayton's 3rd Birthday

Today we celebrated Klayton's 3rd Birthday! Both kids will have a joint party next weekend, which falls on Klay's actual birthday, so I wanted him to have his special day. For breakfast we wanted to go to Cracker Barrel, so we invited the grandparents to join us out there for Klay's favorite meal of the day. Then we took Klay to get some new boots. He is very praticular about his John Deere boots and the other day I noticed they were very snug on his feet. I don't mean a little snug, like smooshing his toes! I told him he couldn't wear them anymore and you would have thought I took away his binket. He cried and wore them anyways, so I knew we had to buy some more. This kid even wore the boots all summer long with his shorts and swim trunks.
When we got home from getting his boots he was all ready to try them out. While I got dinner and his cake ready, Cabe took the kids on a scavengar hunt.

Klay showing off all his goodies he found on the hunt

This is sneaky Klay hiding under the coffee table with his Wall-E he opened up while we were finishing dinner. He just couldn't wait any longer!

Klay loved all his Thomas presents he got! He was so excited this year for his birthday, for months he has been asking us when his big day was!

Each of the kids requested the type of cake they wanted. Klay loves his George and that is what he wanted for his cake. Mine is a little rough looking, but the kids loved the funfetti cake and tons of icing!

Happy Birthday Little Man!! We love you to pieces cutie! I can't believe my little baby boy has grown so much and is learning so much. We are amazed every day at how much he knows.
Now the countdown begins til his real birthday and the party day!
