Up late, gifts wrapped

We are now off to bed, we have a very full day tomorrow with stops at every ones. Kennedy and Daddy made the pecan pie for Christmas dinner while I finished wrapping all the presents. Kennedy was wide awake wanting to be held and we had tons to finish up, so Super Dad strapped on the Baby Bjorn and baked a pecan pie! Ha,ha! He has perfected this recipe since trying it out around Thanksgiving.

Pecan Pie is both our favorites so he took two great recipes, combined them, and now we know how to make the best pecan pie ever!! I was in charge of deviled eggs as usual and also green bean bundles. We had been out late with the kids and by the time we got them to bed it was near 11:00, leaving us up til now. But we have all the food ready and every gift wrapped so we are good to go tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a good Christmas Eve and gets in bed early for Santa!

YouTube Tuesday

I wonder if hubby would do this one next year!Ha! Better say would his workers do this one for him? He is terrified of heights so he hired his workers to do our lights! Too funny, its all for the kids!

The kids use to love my crazy frog ring tone! I think the neighbors would hate us for this one!

Christmas Party

Today we had Kensley's Christmas party at preschool. This was a huge step today because 1. It was the first trip running errands with all three kids in tow 2. I had to have 90 cookies baked by the 2:30 party 3. Lots of sick kids around baby (big worry). Thankfully my mother in-law was close by the school and she came to sit in the car and hold Kennedy while we were in the party.

Everything turned out just fine, but I am so overly exhausted now from waking up at 5 to start getting ready for the day and making it to the party on time. It was a monumental moment today saying that I did it myself and made it there on time. I know Cabe is thanking the Lord that I made it somewhere on time. What is a few minutes anyways, is no one fashionably late these days.

Klay had just as much fun, if not more than Kensley at the party. He marched right in and sat down like it was his classroom and he is there everyday. When Mrs. Jamie was explaining the project and asking questions Klay answered first to everything. It was funny to all the other parents, but princess was a little irritated brother was stepping into her territory. The kids made birthday cakes for Jesus out of the cookies I baked. It was really cute hearing them all sing happy birthday to Jesus.

So sweet!! I cried like a baby seeing this. Her name being Kensley didn't help the emotions either

Mr. Perfect

I saw this on someones blog and I thought it was just precious. I'm doing one of my own, so that hubby is a little more incorporated into the blog. We do a lot as a family now, and not so much as just a couple these days. I love him to pieces, though, we don't always get the time for us, he came first and its important sometimes to remember that. So Mr. Perfect here is a little about you. I love you babe!

1. Who is your man?
Micheal Cabe

2. How long have you been together
High School sweethearts, started dating in ninth grade. We will have our 6yr. wedding anniversary this year!

3. Dating/Engaged/Married?
Happily Married

4. How old is your man?
25

5. What's his middle name?
Cabe

You or your man:

1. Who eats more?
Really depends on the food. I can out number him by far on anything Mexican, but he likes his country cookin. Ha

2. Who said "I love you" first?
It was one of those things we both said it, we wanted to wait until the right time from both.

3. Who weighs more?
Him, and happily I never passed him up during pregnancy.

4. Who sings better?
I love to belt it out in the car, I'm my own American Idol. But he has a really great voice, I love when he will sing something to me.

5. Who's Older?
Him by a couple of months

6. Who's smarter?
He is defiantly more book smart. He doesn't like to study, but he soaks up things I would never pick up on. I like the tease him however, and tell him he didn't get to experience much in Camden!

7. Who's temper is worse?
Unfortunately we both have a temper. I don't blow up as much, but its like the roof blows when I do.

8. Who does the laundry?
I do it all. Only when I'm sick will he attempt it. The washer intimidates him.

9. Who does the dishes?
Me most of the time, every once in a while he will do them and I'll dry them.

10. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?
He does, he likes to be closest to the door.

11. Who's feet are bigger?
His

12. Who's hair is longer?
Of course mine. I'm not one for that image.

13. Who's better with the computer?
He is much better, but I like to think I can navigate online better.

14. Who mows the lawn?
He does. I would at the old house, but the riding lawn mower scares me now, so he does it.

15. Who pays the bills?
He takes care of everything for us and the business, and I pay the house and car.

16. Who cooks dinner?
Me always. One nights he does, we have breakfast or grilled cheese. Those are the two things I don't cook good, and he does it perfect!

17. Who drives when you are together?
Him, but his driving scares me. Way too fast! Luv ya babe

18. Who pays when you go out to dinner?
He does.

19. Who's the most stubborn?
Him by far!

20. Who is the first one to admit when they're wrong
He is really good about that, I had to work on it.

21. Who's parents do you see more?
His.

22. Who named your dog?
I have named both. My names always seem to fit once we meet the dog.

23. Who kissed who first?
He kissed me of course, no brainer if you know Cabe

24. Who asked who out?
He will tell you the story of that one. He asked me everyday for weeks and I told him never. Finally we went out and I considered it our first date, but his friend came with us, so he said it wasn't a date.

26. Who's more sensitive?
I am way more sensitive, but he is sensitive.

27. Who's taller?
Him, but we are both short.

28. Who has more friends?
He does. I have lost a lot of old friends as I've gotten older, but made many new. Not close friends like Cabe has and keeps in touch with.

29. Who has more siblings?
I do, I have two sisters, he has one.

30. Who wears the pants in the relationship?
I would say he does. I never really push things my way.

Thanksgiving

This is Little Turkey Lurky on her first Thanksgiving! She slept through most of the day, while I ate way too much! Oh well I have an excuse right now, just nourishing myself so I can nurse. Ha,ha! Thanksgiving turns out to be a great time to have a child, because you come home from the hospital starved and you have so much food brought to you for Turkey day!

We stayed at the house considering I just got home from the hospital yesterday evening. Mimi brought out all the food, and Cabe fried our turkey. I am usually designated to make the deviled eggs, but this year I didn't cook anything, so a sweet family friend Pam made us 3 dozen deviled eggs! Yeah I'm gonna be sick off those! They are my favorite as well as the kids.

This year I got Kensley interested in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. I watch it every year while cooking and getting ready to go the family's houses. This year we have been reading the book about how the parade got started so she was very interested to see what it was all about. She just loved the big balloons like Dora and Snoopy! She also loved watching all the dance skits be performed. I'm glad I've got a new little buddy to watch it with me each year.

After our lunch had settled we had some pie!! Yumm-O! Klayton's new favorite thing this thanksgiving has been pumpkin pie. He had it at Kensley's school lunch and kept going back for more. He was too cute siting on the fireplace eating pie and watching Miracle on 34th Street.

Hope everyone had a very blessed Thanksgiving! I know this year I have even more to be thankful for. My precious new baby is so healthy and the most beautiful little thing ever!

LLA Thanksgiving Lunch

I had to share some of the cute pics I got today at Kensley's Thanksgiving lunch at pre-school. Klay was so interested in the other boys at school, but he was a good sport and got some pictures of Kensley. Do you notice how he isn't looking at the camera in any of them? Ha!
We feasted on turkey and pie and got the fellowship with the staff and other parents at school. Kensley was so shy around this little boy in her class Wade. He is just precious!! He is always right there beside Kensley and wants hug her and play. She gets so embarrassed by it. Poor little guy was just talking to us asking what Kensley was doing for Thanksgiving and if she was going to be here in town. I thought it was too precious, but Kensley is to shy to open up and talk to him.
After the lunch the kids were free to go home. This was the last day Kensley will be at school for a while because of the holidays and the baby. She was really excited to be off for Thanksgiving and she is even more excited to know that means it is getting close to the time for Kennedy to be born.

I wish I would have remembered to get a picture of Kensley's turkey centerpieces they made in class. They were cute brown paper bag turkeys the kids had made to decorate the foyer of the church. She also made an Indian bead necklace that she has proudly worn around all afternoon telling me about the Indians.

Soon will be baby...

We went for my last doctors appointment today! Dr. Lawrence decided she wants to induce Tuesday morning. I just knew I would have Kennedy on my due date of December 1st. I thought if I didn't go into labor then the doctor would induce on that day. She thinks though that Kennedy is healthy enough now and it will be better on me if we just go ahead and induce. She has had to induce with both Kensley and Klayton and I was really hoping this time my water would break and all that neat stuff. It would be a whole new experience for Cabe and I, but I just don't think my body would ever do it. My babies like to stay nice and cozy in mommy's belly.

I am glad though to know that I have this weekend to finish up my last minute preparations and make sure I have everything for Kennedy. I will try to relax and keep my feet up. I just keep thinking of things to do now that I'm afraid I won't have time for after, and I just want to be ready for her and the holidays.

I am a little worried tonight though because today in the appointment Dr. Lawrence heard the baby's heart skipping beats which she hasn't heard before. She doesn't think it is much since she hasn't heard it before now, but she will monitor me closely during labor to make sure the baby isn't in distress. I am so overly worried and concerned. I have already researched the condition which she said this is, I am just praying for the best and that Kennedy is born healthy. Please keep us in your prayers and pray for her little heart to be good.

Soon I will able to share sweeties pictures! I can't wait to meet her!! I'm so excited to see how much hair she has

How the Grinch Stole Christmas

Tonight we took the kids to see How the Grinch Stole Christmas at the Silver Moon Cinema. Kenlsey and Klay absolutely love going to these!! It is a local outdoor movie theater that is seasonal. They have family movies that have been voted on that they play from April through November. They choose one a month, and when I saw the last one of the year was going to be The Grinch, I knew we must go. It was so cold though!! This has been the coldest night we have had so far, but we bundle up in coats and sleeping bags and had a great time. This has been Kensley's favorite movie since she was three. The kids thought it was so neat to have hot chocolate and get in their sleeping bags.

After the movie was over we went to Target to look for some Christmas goodies. We came home with tons of boxes of hot chocolate and seasonal snack mixes, also some cookies. We then sat in front of the fireplace munching on cookies and watched The Santa Clause.

Carnival games, Ponies, Cake, and more..

Today we celebrated both of the kids birthday with a carnival party! Kensley had seen a themed party like this on Jon and Kate Plus 8 and that what she has been asking months for. The kids have been so excited to know they had ponies coming to their party. I have said before but I like to really celebrate their birthdays because it is such a big day for them, and us too as parents. Last year we went to Disney World during their birthdays so they didn't have a party. Even though Disney was the best trip ever, I missed not giving them a party. Ever since Kensley's first birthday party, the girl has gotten super excited when it gets time to plan her day. She just likes having all her friends to play with! Klayton just loves the idea of birthdays and getting to blow out the candles. Last year I think we re-lite the candles atleast ten times for him. I have planned for a while exactly what we were going to do at the party, and I have to say it turned out great! Every loved the pony rides, and they loved having the games to win prizes.

My little stud posing with his 3 shirt! He thought it was super cool that I put Klaybo on the back for him. He would show off and hold up his fingers and say I'm three now.

Ninny came early to help setup the cakes she made! She has to be one of the most talented people I know. She makes the kids cakes each birthday, and I couldn't be more happy with them. My cakes are a sad sit not fit to pull out in public! After so many people asking her to make cakes for wedding and such, she has finally decided to have a website and do cakes on the side. I can't wait to post her website when it is all done. Everything Ninny does is cool, so I know it will just be over the top.

The backyard had different carnival booths setup that we made. Each child would play the games to win prizes for their goodie bags. We played coke toss, Go Fish, and face painting.

The boys all decided they wanted football tattoos.

Kensley and Scarlett had so much fun running around and playing. Kensley loves when she gets to see her and then the whole next week she walks around the house talking about her best friend Scarlett.

Klaybo on Chester the pony!

I had to share a picture of the line waiting to ride the ponies. Once the ponies arrived the kids stayed their no stop waiting their turn! I'm glad it turned out to be such a big hit.

The awesome My Little Pony and Curious George cakes my sister made for the kiddos! Isn't she so talented?

Sarah could not wait for Lily to ride the pony. She was already planning to buy her a horse if she took well to it.Ha, ha! It was precious to see Lily on the pony with her little Cowgirl hat!

I truly think this is the only picture I've gotten of myself pregnant.

The kids had the best time and are now sound asleep! We are all worn out and now I can finally relax since the party is over with. I plan on relaxing these next two weeks and taking it as easy as possible. I'm just glad little one didn't decide to make her apperance today! I'd like to keep her in their and spread her birthday out a little further than Kensley and Klay's! Ha!

Daddy's hunting buddy, plus Ella Grace

This morning Kensley and Cabe when on their first deer hunt together of the season. I have protested this forever, but when they team up I'm usually the one who loses the battle. She loves to go down to deer camp with him before season and ride on the four-wheeler and set up camp. Since she has been back this year, she has begged me ever since to let her go. I finally caved in to both her and Cabe, and let her go.

As you can see in the picture though, she has her new babydoll Ella Grace with her. She was really excited to go until Cabe woke her up, and the bear in her came out. She cried for Ella to go or she was not going. Since Daddy was so pumped about his little hunting buddy going, I didn't want to disappoint him, so we just let Ella tag along.

I wish I would of had a camera with them in the woods. She strapped Ella into her baby backpack carrier and headed out with daddy. This year she came back with a good report that she had stopped a big deer. Last year when she went to camp she made herself nice and cozy by the heater, and proclaimed to me that she "gets good sleep deer huntin!"

Klayton's 3rd Birthday

Today we celebrated Klayton's 3rd Birthday! Both kids will have a joint party next weekend, which falls on Klay's actual birthday, so I wanted him to have his special day. For breakfast we wanted to go to Cracker Barrel, so we invited the grandparents to join us out there for Klay's favorite meal of the day. Then we took Klay to get some new boots. He is very praticular about his John Deere boots and the other day I noticed they were very snug on his feet. I don't mean a little snug, like smooshing his toes! I told him he couldn't wear them anymore and you would have thought I took away his binket. He cried and wore them anyways, so I knew we had to buy some more. This kid even wore the boots all summer long with his shorts and swim trunks.
When we got home from getting his boots he was all ready to try them out. While I got dinner and his cake ready, Cabe took the kids on a scavengar hunt.

Klay showing off all his goodies he found on the hunt

This is sneaky Klay hiding under the coffee table with his Wall-E he opened up while we were finishing dinner. He just couldn't wait any longer!

Klay loved all his Thomas presents he got! He was so excited this year for his birthday, for months he has been asking us when his big day was!

Each of the kids requested the type of cake they wanted. Klay loves his George and that is what he wanted for his cake. Mine is a little rough looking, but the kids loved the funfetti cake and tons of icing!

Happy Birthday Little Man!! We love you to pieces cutie! I can't believe my little baby boy has grown so much and is learning so much. We are amazed every day at how much he knows.
Now the countdown begins til his real birthday and the party day!

Trick or Treating

The kiddos looked so cute tonight! Kensley went as Little Mermaid and Klayton was Alvin the Chipmunk. After Kensley opened presents we went trick or treating. It started to rain a little, but that didn't stop them. We had to ride to each house this year because they are more spread out in our neighborhood. The kids loved sitting in the back of Pop Pop's truck with Nana and Daddy. They got way to much candy, that I'm sure I'll be sneaking into.

Is that not the cutest Alvin you have ever seen!

Kensley just loved her light up shoes and wand!

Mom would leave each house dying laughing at Klayton. Instead of saying Trick or Treat, we would say "Hello Gorgeous!" I had practiced with him last week what he was suppose to say because he hasn't really ever gotten to trick or treat. Last year we were in Disney World so you just got candy from all the creators. This year when I asked him if he knew what Alvin was suppose at the door he told me Alvin says "Hello Gorgeous" (which is Klayton's favorite line from the movie). I thought he was too cute so I didn't bother telling him any different.

Hope everyone had a safe and candy filled Halloween!

Kensley's 5th B-Day

Today was Kensley's 5th Birthday!! So sad that it has been five years since were holding her for the first time in the hospital. She was so amazing to Cabe and I from the first minute we met her, and still is just an angel in our lives. Each year seems to come and go so fast, it feels like she should be turning two and not five. Happy Birthday Precious we love you!!!

It has kind of become a tradition that we blow out candles with our breakfast. It started when Kensley was two and so super pumped about her birthday. We would wake her up in bed with breakfast fit for a princess and sing happy birthday. This year we made Halloween cinnamon rolls with orange icing. Kensley and Klay both loved them!

Kensley's day she planned out was to have lunch at Holly's, then go to the park. I love that my kid chose Holly's Country Cookin' as her restaurant to go have lunch on her day. This place is a little down home place that has the absolute best comfort food. It was packed today, but we stood in line and Kensley got the have lunch with Cabe, Klayton, and I, and even Mimi and Pop Pop were able to join us.
After we headed to the park for some playtime. It was a nice day with beautiful weather. The kids played so hard and had such a good time.

Kensley wanted to have races with Klay, which I was so scared she was going to fall and have a major accident, but all turned out well. Bless her heart, but Kensley got my grace. She can trip over any imaginary object at any given time, and then her drama queen sets in. I just knew she would break a leg running in her boots.

It started to rain right before we went out to trick or treat. This didn't stop the kids from having a blast, they went out to jump in the puddles!

Kensley and her new baby doll she got from Mimi. This is Ella Grace. Cabe and I were so shocked at her name choice. Usually she names her dolls the same thing or picks the most random name, however she chose Ella Grace. I loved it!

Opening Bubba's gift, a white horse that walks and moves its tail. Klay knew exactly what he wanted to get Kensley. I took him to Target a couple of weeks back and we went through every toy aisle, when he saw this he had to have it. I showed him other things, but he held this horse so proudly the whole time and kept saying "Sissy will love this!" She did in fact love her horse and even more since Bubba got it for her.

I am not a cake decorator by any means like my sister. She is making the kids cakes for their birthdays, but I made one tonight for our family celebration at home. Kensley wanted a Hannah Montana cake, so I attempted my best. She loved having a totally girly cake and her favorite dinner of spaghetti.
